Join us to ‘get creative’ and experiment with
paint, paper and free-form art
Be part of this major new project by creating art and
learn new techniques such as painting, paper sculpture and free-forms of
art.
The event will be part of Children’s Day and inspired by the current
contemporary Russian exhibitions Futurologia and Russian Utopias.
To celebrate the series of events, some works will be exhibited within a
special exhibition entitled the Utopian City Garage and Cities of Utopia at the
Museum of Modern Art.
Painting
Every Tuesday (8 – 12 year olds, artist supervised)

Learn to paint with ink, gouache, watercolour, pencil and many more materials
with celebrated artist and winner of the 2008 Kandinsky Prize Diana
Machulina.
Free-form art
Every Wednesday (8 - 12 year olds, artist supervised)
15 places only, advanced booking required

4000 RUB for all sessions, including materials

Stretch your imagination and work freely with unconventional techniques and
materials to create art works with artist Maria Tretyakova and art historian
Polina Zhurakovskaya.
Paper sculpture
Every Thursday (10 – 14 year olds, supervised)
15 places only, advanced booking required
12 sessions in total
4800 RUB for all sessions, including materials

Introduced by a talk on today’s architecture, you will use materials such as
cardboard and paper to construct your own building or structure to become part
of the new urban landscape of the Utopian City. Sessions will be lead by
Victoria Novikova, participant of International Children's Festivals and Chief
Curator of international social art project Cardbordia.
Garage Kids is a series of activities, events and trails where children can
engage with their world through the eyes of an artist to inspire their own
creativity and understanding of art.
We encourage children to learn through creative activity and playful
experiences with contemporary culture.
