Explore the work of James Turrell with a lecture by Irina Kulik as she examines the themes and questions these light-based works have provoked. Light is an essential resource of contemporary art, and throughout the 20th and 21st centuries many influential artists have explored and experimented with the qualities of light. The works of László Moholy-Nagy, Dan Flavin, Olafur Eliasson,will be considered, contextualizing Turrell’s work .

Irina Kulik – art criticist, culture expert, lecturer at IPCA and Studio-School of MkHAT, columnist at Culture paper and author of numerous publications on contemporary art, music and cinema.
