Videomapping, interactive technologies, and commercial art

The lecture's speakers will help get a sense of what kinds of technology are used to create art projects.

Long before IT has become an integral part of our life. However, it is now when IT is entering the world of art. In particular, many artists choose interactive and media forms of creative expression. These often absolutely 'unreal' art objects, interactive installations, YouTube video clips feature the tricks of videomapping and other miracles of interactivity. Based on case studies, the lecture's speakers will help get a sense of what kinds of technology are used to create art projects. They will also shed the light on the commercial use of interactive objects.

Evgeny Afonin (b. 1983), a video artist and programmer, has 8 years of video art performance behind his back as a VJ at numerous club events and festivals. Recently, he focuses on algorithmical and generative types of graphics, interactive installations, and creative programming.

Dmitry Vikhornov (b. 1977), an art figure and composer, is one of the founders of creative businesses and bands, including Lebrand, Cyberbrothers, Russian Visual Artists, and active participant of international art festivals.

Yan Kalnberzin (b. 1975) is a media artist, VJ, performer, and musician.
