Hear the history to one of the leading photographic festivals in the world – FotoFest - with its president Frederick Baldwin and art director Wendy Watriss. They will examine photography today in the US and introduce some of the artists participating in the festival.

In partnership with State Museum and Exhibition Center and the Culture of Visual Centre.

Frederic Baldwin – photographer, in 1950-1980 worked for Audubon, LIFE, National Geographic, GEO, Camera (Switzerland), Bunte, STERN, Esquire, Sports Illustrated, Time Life Books, Natural History, Town and Country, Science Digest, Smithsonian Magazine, Newsweek, New York Times. In 1983 he founded the FOTOFEST Inc. in Houston. His works are included in the best photographic collections. He is currently preparing to publish memoirs about meetings with Pablo Picasso, Edward Steichen, Ernest Hemingway and others. Awarded with Petzval medal.

Wendy Watriss – photographer, curator and publicist. Founder and art-director of the FOTOFEST Inc. in Houston since 1983. Curator of hundreds of international exhibitions. Complier of photographic anthologies of Latin America, China and many other publications. Has numerous awards and nominations in book industry. Awarded with World Press Photo First prize.
