Museum Cycle is a series of introductory sessions focusing on curators and
museums. The series includes lectures about important museum buildings,
strategies and curators who have influenced and shaped today’s art scene. The
session is based on the book A brief history of curating (2008) by notable
curator, and current co-director of the Serpentine Gallery in London,
Hans-Ulrich Obrist. The book is a compilation of interviews with eleven
internationally acclaimed curators – Obrist’s ‘heroes’. Anna Arutiunova - historian and journalist. Ex-editor-in-chief of the
art-market column at Openspace.ru, and is editor of Russian edition of the
ART+AUCTION magazine.
