The New Decors artists

Flirting between contemporary art and design, the international group show The New Décor opens at Garage on 20 October. During the installation period, we are giving visitors a rare opportunity to meet the some of the artists.
Haegue Yang, a young artist originally from Seoul works with a range of objects that include colored blinds, lights, kitchen utensils, balls of wool and knitting needles. During this talk, the artist will reveal how these objects became a source of inspiration for her art.

Haegue Yang is a Korean artist who represented Korea in the Venice Biennale in 2009 and was part of Daniel Birnbaum’s project Making Worlds. She lives and works in Seoul and Berlin.
