Persimfans was the first symphonic ensemble without a conductor, was one of the
most legendary projects of the post-revolutionary years. It created a
completely new form of collective music making and provided musicians with a
creative utopia with equality without any of the prescriptive control of the
“conductor- monarch figure”. The creator of the current revival of Persimfans,
Peter Aidu, alongside cultural scientist and archivist of Persimfans Konstantin
Dudakov-Kashuro, will discuss the history and concept of Persimfans and its
modern development and adaptation.
