Commenting on the exhibition 100 Years of Performance, Marina Davydova, noted
one person prominently absent – Italian director Romeo Castellucci. Castellucci
- who famously considers theatre as “the art of the flesh, the art closest to
the life, the art that is the most dangerous”. Analyzing fragments of his 2008
performance Divine Comedy, Davydova will endeavour to highlight his work,
discussing not only the living genius that is Castellucci, but she will share
her impressions from the Festival d’Avignon, 2010.
