Base is a new periodical on art theory, which, according to its creator, artist
and theoretician Anatoly Osmolovsky, will fill the gaps in art lovers’ basic
knowledge of contemporary art – gaps which are particularly acute in Russia due
the lack of Russian-language literature on this topic. In this conversation,
Osmolovsky will explain his approach, and re-emphasise the importance of
beginning such an undertaking with discussion of such theoretical giants as
Clement Greenberg and Harry Lehmann.
