Join us, as George Litichevsky weaves a path through the close-knit relationship between art and fashion – topics which are often considered separate. Costume design and art have always developed in parallel to each other, and their paths often intertwined along the way. For example, many masters of the Renaissance, the French revolution or Russian revolutionary Avant-Garde were also fashion designers. Centuries that produced great universal Utopias influenced innovations in art and style that articulated the ideas of the social transformations that were happening simultaneously. The period during postmodernism, (which is also know as the crisis point of utopian consciousness) and the pluralism of utopias was an explosive time for the two artistic strands to collide.
